Privacy Policy
Uteoafa, with RUC 1793214578001 and registered address at Av. Amazonas N39-123 y Arízaga, Quito, Ecuador, acts as the data controller for personal data collected through uteoafa.com. This policy describes how we process your personal information in compliance with the Ecuadorian Personal Data Protection Act (LOPDP) and its regulations in force in 2026.
1. Data we process
We only collect the data you voluntarily provide when subscribing to the newsletter: name and email address. We also process anonymous technical data —truncated IP address, device type, pages visited— for analytics purposes.
2. Purpose of processing
Data is used to send you the requested educational guide, the monthly newsletter on real estate crowdlending in Ecuador, and to measure website performance. It is not used to build automated profiles with legal effects.
3. Legal basis
Processing is based on your explicit consent, given when ticking the box in the subscription form, in accordance with article 7 of the LOPDP.
4. Retention
We keep your data while your subscription remains active or during applicable legal periods. You can request deletion at any time.
5. Recipients
We do not sell your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We use email delivery and analytics providers that act as data processors, subject to confidentiality and international transfer agreements when applicable.
6. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability and limitation provided by the LOPDP by writing to hola@uteoafa.com. You can also file a claim with the Ecuadorian Superintendency of Personal Data Protection.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, access controls and data minimisation.
8. Changes
Any material change to this policy will be communicated by email and by a prominent notice on the site at least 15 days in advance.
